Numerical Study of Meteorological Factors for Tropospheric Nocturnal Ozone Increase in the Metropolitan Area of São Paulo

One of the central problems in large cities is air pollution, mainly caused by vehicular emissions. Tropospheric ozone an atmospheric oxidizing gas that forms minimal amounts naturally, affecting peoples’ health. This pollutant formed NO2 photolysis, creating a main peak during day. Nighttime secondary peaks occur several parts world, but their intensity and frequency depend on local condition. In this sense, works aims to study characteristics for tropospheric nocturnal levels Metropolitan Area São Paulo, Brazil, using Simple Photochemical Module coupled Brazilian Developments Regional Atmospheric Modeling System.
